Bake Sale

This week the kids and I had a bake sale!

Our very favorite quilt shop downtown Charlevoix said we could set up a table in their side yard under a tree. They have quite a bit of foot traffic down their street so it was perfect. I love the fabric in Hearts to Holly, but even more I just love the people! How wonderful that they offered their yard for our sale!!

Madeline and I baked and baked and baked some more :)

We spent 8 1/2 hours baking and made:

48 cupcakes (half vanilla and half chocolate)
8 dozen chocolate chip cookies
80 peanut butter cup cookies
5 small loaves of banana pecan bread
5 small loaves of blueberry banana bread
5 small loaves of cinnamon bread
32 rice krispy squares
6 small pans of brownies

Madeline (using her cake decorating class skills) frosted the cupcakes

After 5 hours we SOLD OUT!

We asked a few businesses around town to hang our flyer. They were so wonderfully gracious and enthusiastically hung a flyer. Madeline also chalked the side walk :)

We made a sign for the sidewalk near our table.

We were soooo blessed by all who came and bought from our bake sale. I think I only gave change three times - everyone else told us to keep the change :)

Blessings, Sandy
