DTC! DTC! DTC! DTC!
We are exhaling a HUGE sigh of relief as our dossier (LARGE stack of documents we have been collecting over the last few months - that had to be notarized by a notary, then certified by the Secretary of State, then authenticated by the Chinese Embassy in Washington DC.) has now been sent to China!! WOO HOO!!
PRAISE GOD for holding us up during this CrAzY journey to Darren. I can't begin to describe the crazy amount of paperwork, patience, time, prayers, money, and stress that are required and that we have experienced these last few months.
Madeline (our 13 year old) and I were taking a walk last week. She mentioned to me that she knows why Bryan (the baby we had to return to his birth mom after 29 days) didn't stay in our family. She said that Darren needs a family and life saving heart surgery. If Bryan was still in our family we would never have considered adopting Darren. Oh - the wonderful insight of
children teens :)
