Our day

Darren has had another good day - lots of watching "Cars", lots of snuggling, lots short naps....only a little complaining about pain.

We didn't make it to the pizza party - he was napping...

...but we did end up with a "stroller" ride. Darren actually did like it, but you wouldn't know it from this picture :)
(Yes - our IV's, chest tube drainage boxes, O2 came with us)

So we all have to have a bad nurse right?! Hopefully we have ours done with....she forgot to give him his pain meds (until I asked!) "we only ask patients the first day on our floor" it IS the first day!!, she sent us out on a walk and his MORPHINE drip rain out!, when we got back from our walk she FORGOT to hook up his monitors (heart rate, pulse etc.) until I asked her about them....thankfully she is gone for the day and our night nurse seems to be on top of her game :)

Blessings from the hospital, Sandy

  1. How wonderful it has been to catch up on your blog and read about Darren's successful surgery and recovery! I am so happy for your entire family!

  2. Really sorry to hear about the Nurse. Perhaps it was just a test and I think you passed.

  3. It's great to see Darren up and out of bed. Hopefully you won't see that nurse again. Poor boy children should never have to ask for pain medicine. Praying for a quick recovery and wonderful caring nurses for your boy.

  4. So wonderful to see Darren out and about! He looks great, Sandy! Praise God!!!
